Meet the Managing Director of IJS

Our Managing Director has been in the construction industry since 1997, bringing over 25 years of specialized experience, and has been certified in Full Exterior Timber Joinery almost as long. An extensive career includes roles in management, price estimation, and CAD design work for some of the leading companies in the industry. With qualification in Full Exterior Joinery the skillsets available to IJS customers encompass the design and manufacturing of both exterior aluminum and timber doors and windows, a strong understanding of NZ 4211 standards for timber joinery compliance, and certification in interior door systems, kitchen cabinetry, and stair making. This full trade cert is rare in a site work based company and as far as we have seen non existent in the hardware installation sector. In addition to joinery competency Cory worked in the boat-building sector for Custom Yachts, as a ship’s joiner, refining skills in curved woodworking and veneer application, then moving on to fiber glassing (structural & cometic), fairing, and spray painting.

Our broad knowledge base includes a range of materials such as timbers, composites, fixings, sealing products, and paint systems - including paint system application techniques. Currently, we are delving into the world of welding and fabrication, and integrating metalwork where relevant .

This ongoing endeavor to upskill highlights the commitment to enhancing IJS’s capabilities, and addressing the diverse needs of clients.
